Reef and Turtle Rooms both have family configurations while The Point, Beach House and Wistari Suites offer a beachside location or filtered reef and ocean views whilst maintaining privacy and seclusion.

With five grades of accommodation types, the 109 rooms at Heron Island Resort, are extremely well appointed and have garden, beach or reef views. To help guests leave the outside world behind, televisions and telephones, while available on the Island, are not found in guest rooms (telephones are available in Point Suites, Wistari Suites and the Beach House).

Heron Island Resort also offers guests a little something extra when staying in the The Point, Beach House and Wistari Suites. Bathrobes and slippers add a personal touch, whilst coffee plungers, a selection of magazine titles and a CD Player gives you a sense of home while enjoying the island life. Turtle Rooms: are located in a garden setting, a short walk away from the beach and close to the central resort facilities. With two rooms per block, all Turtle Rooms are at ground level and feature a deck and outdoor area. Rooms are compact and interiors are bright and fresh. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed OR 1 Queen Bed + 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

Reef Room: Positioned close to the beach and offer filtered reef and water views through a canopy of beachside trees and shrubs. The living area extends outdoors to a balcony or garden setting, interiors are light and comfortable. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed OR 1 Queen Bed + 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 5 Adults & Children.
Family Reef Room is available for maximum of 2 adults and 3 children, bedding consists of 1 Queen bed, 2 Single beds and rollaway bed for 3rd child.

Heron Beachside Suites: offer spectacular filtered views over the Great Barrier Reef and are set in a prime beachside location with direct access to the beach and reef. Double glass sliding doors fill the room with natural light and connect both the spacious bedroom and separate living area with a large outdoor balcony. The living area features a divan, comfortable armchairs, coffee table and desk. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 1 Sofa bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

The Beach House: Located beachside and set within a grove of trees, the Beach House offers filtered ocean views and a private boardwalk provides direct access to the beach. The Beach House offers maximum privacy and is located a short stroll away from the central resort facilities and restaurant. The Beach House is air conditioned and features a separate bedroom, with spacious ensuite including a bath and shower. An expansive living area features an oversized sofa and work desk and opens out onto a private patio with outdoor furniture and outdoor shower. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 1 Sofa bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

The Point Suites: are set in a premium position with an outlook that offers uninterrupted reef views and magical sunsets over the Great Barrier Reef. Suites are within easy access of the resort amenities. These Suites are spacious and include a large ensuite and separate dressing room. A generous living area extends through glass doors to an extensive outdoor terrace with sun lounges and walking out onto the lawn and resort gardens. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & Children.

Wistari Suites: are situated within a secluded garden setting with filtered ocean views and offer maximum privacy. Interiors are spacious and include a living area with sofa and armchair and separate sleeping area. A private outdoor terrace features wooden furniture and a two person hammock. The Suites are a short stroll away from the central resort facilities, beach and walking tracks. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & Children.
